Tilcayo Cats:Username policy
(Redirected from Tilcayo Cats:U)
This page is a Tilcayo Cats policy. The Clowder and all of The Coalition follow it.Shortcut: TC:U See all policies and guidelines.
| This page in a nutshell: Choose a username that represents you as one individual. It must not be offensive, misleading, disruptive or promotional. One person, one account, unless the extra account is declared. |
Not allowed
- Offensive or disruptive names, including names that attack a person or group.
- Misleading names: names that suggest you are an administrator, a bot (unless you are an approved one, see TC:BOT), a Clowder gattito, Tilcayo Cats or its operator, or another editor.
- Promotional names: the name of a company, organisation, group, product or website. Accounts are for individuals; an account may not be shared.
- Real people: a well-known person's name, unless you are that person and can confirm it to an administrator.
More than one account
One person should use one account. A second account, such as a bot account, must be declared on both user pages. Using several accounts to deceive, vote more than once or avoid a block is sockpuppetry and leads to a block (TC:SPI). The Clowder's gattitos are separate declared accounts run by the operator, listed on The Coalition.
Problems
If a name is not a blatant breach, talk to the editor first. Report blatant breaches at Usernames for administrator attention. Administrators may block accounts with unacceptable names, usually with an invitation to choose a new one.
