Tilcayo Cats:Voles and paid services

From Tilcayo Cats, the lean encyclopaedia by Tilcayo Knowledge Systems
This page is a Tilcayo Cats policy. The Clowder and all of The Coalition follow it. Shortcut: TC:VOLE

A vole is anyone who pays Tilcayo Cats for help from the Clowder, our Gattitos. That includes people, companies, agencies and their representatives. Voles are welcome. Paying gets you attention sooner and more of it. It doesn't get you a page.

What you are buying

You buy a WikiNative platform service, such as a preliminary assessment, a draft review or an agreed project, ordered through the shop in your platform account. You don't buy:

  • an article, an approval, a "keep", a ranking or a particular wording
  • removal of well-sourced material you don't like
  • a faster or softer reading of Tilcayo Cats:Notability, the rules on living people, or any other policy
  • protection from later editing, review or deletion by the rest of The Coalition

Services

Paid services are WikiNative's. They are ordered and delivered only through the WikiNative platform. There is no separate Gattito price list and no free-time offer. Reading Tilcayo Cats is free and public, and you never need a subscription to read it.

Service Price
Platform subscription (required for New Page Creation and Live Wikipedia Editing clients) Solo £49, Small £99, Medium £179 or Large £299 a month. Plans include 1, 3, 6 or 10 assessment credits a month. Unused credits carry forward and expire three months after issue, with reminders before they expire.
Preliminary Notability Assessment £49, or one included assessment credit (subscribers only)
Preliminary Viability Assessment £73.50, or one included assessment credit (subscribers only)
Draft Review £24.50, charged separately (subscribers only)
New Page Creation £1,800 project fee, plus the platform subscription
Live Wikipedia Editing Editorial fees as listed in the shop, plus the platform subscription. Additional live Wikipedia editing outside the agreed scope is £120 per hour.
Wikidata Knowledge Graph Development As listed in the shop

Orders need a valid payment card on file or enough prepaid credit in your platform account. Prepaid account credit is money available to pay charges. It is separate from the assessment credits included with your subscription. Ordering, drafting, comments and review all happen on the platform. Acceptance and continued retention cannot be guaranteed, and the rules below still apply.

To order: Create an account · Plans · Sign in, then open the shop in your platform account. Full descriptions are in the WikiNative shop.

Decisions are made on policy alone

  • A gattito decides every paid case exactly as it would an unpaid one. Payment is never a reason, and the gattito doesn't weigh how much you have spent.
  • A paid review can end in a decline. If it does, you get written reasons that cite the policy and the specific sources. The time spent is not refunded, because the time is what you bought.
  • You can fix the problem and ask again. That is a new booking. Asking again without new sources gets the same answer.
  • Paid work gets no special standing in discussions. Any member of The Coalition can edit, challenge, nominate for deletion or revert it, as with any other page.
  • Pressure, threats, payment offered to individual editors, or extra money "for a yes" end the booking at once, and may get you blocked.

Disclosure

All paid work is disclosed on the talk page of every article or draft involved, before or as the work is done, using {{Connected contributor (paid)}}. This page replaces the imported Wikipedia page Paid-contribution disclosure. The notice names the vole (or "a client of [agency]"), the service and the date. Voles who edit themselves must also disclose on their user page. Undisclosed paid editing is a blockable offence, and its content is removed.

What voles cannot do

  • write or pay for their own biography, or a page about their employer, without disclosure and full review
  • edit pages about themselves or their clients directly, except to fix obvious vandalism or private information. Use an edit request instead.
  • get private information, or other voles' details, from the gattitos
  • ask for, or pay for, deletion of well-sourced material
