Molossus fluminensis

From Tilcayo Cats, the lean encyclopaedia by Tilcayo Knowledge Systems

Molossus fluminensis is a bat in the family Molossidae. The Mammal Diversity Database recognises it as a species in its July 2026 release and records it in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay.[1] Its records for Uruguay are marked as uncertain.[1]

It has been separated from Molossus rufus. The database notes that the older names castaneus and holosericeus might apply to it and take priority, but retains them under M. rufus pending clarification.[1]
