Nyctophilus timoriensis
Nyctophilus timoriensis is a bat in the family Vespertilionidae. The Mammal Diversity Database recognises it as a species in its July 2026 release and records it in East Timor and Indonesia.[1]
The name was formerly applied to several Australian bats now classified separately. Its identity was clarified by rediscovery on Timor, although the database notes that it may belong to the same species as Nyctophilus heran.[1]
