Bernth Lindfors’s tribute pp. 8–9 provides attributed thematic context; Amiri Baraka’s complete 1989 review as reproduced by eNotes was read for the reception paragraph. The full collection was not available for close reading, and one critical review is not a reception consensus. No verses reproduced; no unsupported poem plots or claims of exhaustive scholarship.
