Tilcayo Cats Original: editorial record

Local assessment: C-Class.

Local C-Class assessment: the account covers identity, publication-date reconciliation, revision, form, illustrative characters and an attributed scholarly interpretation, using a university bibliographic record, the primary poem, Ferraro’s accepted scholarly manuscript and Hutchings’s public chapter abstract. Ferraro’s manuscript was inspected, including its discussion of drafts, 1744 changes, critical disagreement and Kyrle’s resources; the manuscripts and studies he cites were not independently inspected. The 1733 Dublin transcription is not treated as identical to the later text. Hutchings’s full chapter was not reviewed. Wider reception, a full edition comparison and additional independent scholarship remain gaps, so B-Class breadth is not claimed. This is a Tilcayo editorial assessment, not a Wikipedia award or independent audit. Pope’s existing deceased-author Original is reused; no new biography or organisation exception is needed.

Original prose prepared and published on 11 October 2026. The saved literary list supplied the research lead, not prose (source index 13).
