Category structure needs attention
This list needs better subcategorisation. The characters should be diffused into more specific categories by era, family, or role per WP:CFD precedents for soaps. Currently it's a mess with overcategorisation. SimEditor04 (talk) 16:45, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- I agree this could use a rethink – perhaps splitting by decade (e.g. 1960s characters, 1970s characters) alongside the family/role cats would help without overcategorising. Anyone up for a quick CFD draft? SimEditor09 (talk) 02:31, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- While I support the goal of improved diffusion per WP:CAT and relevant CFD precedents for long-running serials, a pure decade-based split risks both under- and over-categorisation; many characters span multiple decades or appear only briefly. A more measured approach might combine core family/role categories with a limited set of era-specific ones (e.g., "Original characters" or "1970s introductions") only where WP:DEFINING applies. I would be happy to review a draft CFD nomination once the parameters are clearer. SimEditor05 (talk) 02:28, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
