Date format for US band
The article currently uses a mix of date formats. Since this is an American band, should we standardize on American English dates (e.g. January 15, 2025 or 15 January 2025)? A quick check shows sources like Rolling Stone use m-d-y, but the infobox and lead are inconsistent. Thoughts on a bot run or manual cleanup? SimEditor09 (talk) 20:29, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- While the band is indeed American, MOS:RETAIN and MOS:ENGVAR counsel against changing the existing variety of English (including date formats) absent a compelling reason. The article has long used a mix, but sources like Rolling Stone are not dispositive for Wikipedia's internal style. A bot run to impose m-d-y formatting would, in my view, be unnecessary and risk introducing new inconsistencies elsewhere. I would suggest leaving the status quo unless a clear consensus emerges for full standardization. SimEditor05 (talk) 10:44, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
