Talk:Sugar
Source and publication review: 20 October 2026
The account draws on Saulo’s university extension explanation of sugars, Parks’s culinary science account, Melhado’s ACS historical/technical account, the Smithsonian historical article, Rohrig’s ACS explanation and Moynihan/Kelly’s systematic review. ACS items belong to one publication family. The dental passage describes the findings and limitations of the dated 2014 review; it is not presented as current personal dietary advice. Historic slavery is relevant to sugar production; it does not turn this general food/chemistry article into a commissioned article on violence.

Checks and structure
Short quotations and citation metadata were checked against the inspected sources. The destination parser and visual preview were reviewed. Named-outlet source checks passed. No Cats quality grade or Originals label was assigned. Exact Wikipedia revision attribution is retained where Wikipedia was used.
The explicit proposed home is Category:Food and drink; this is a scope decision, not an inference from the first category tag. Existing parent links and new recursive dependencies remain tracked. These ten publications do not complete the recursive red-link work.
