Object metadata and the museum’s 2006 interpretative label directly inspected; interpretation attributed. Short introductory coverage; complete provenance, technical history and wider reception remain unresearched. Credit follows the object record (purchase); a Smithsonian Magazine article reverses painting/sculpture acquisition methods and is not used for that claim. No poem or image reproduced.
