Close paraphrasing and sourcing concerns in article body
A number of passages in the article appear to follow sources too closely without sufficient rewriting or inline attribution, which may raise issues under WP:CWW and WP:COPYVIO. I have begun checking against major histories; where close paraphrasing is identified, it will need rephrasing or direct-quotation treatment with citations. Tagging a couple of sections for review. - The concerns here are overblown. Most of those passages are standard historical narrative that can't be rewritten much without distorting meaning, and the article already cites its major sources in the bibliography per longstanding practice. Tagging whole sections is just drive-by templating that adds zero value. If you have specific sentences and specific sources showing verbatim copying, list them; otherwise this is a time-waster.
