Tanzanycterididae
Appearance
Tanzanycterididae is an extinct family of bats established in 2003 for Tanzanycteris, a genus known from an Eocene skeleton from Tanzania. The original authors separated it because of its distinctive combination of skeletal and inner-ear characters, while leaving its precise relationships uncertain.[1]
