This section should include only a brief summary of {{{1}}}. |

.svg){kind=link}
| File:Symbol template class.svg | This is a customized wrapper for the {{summarize}} template, which means it is built upon the other template's code. This template is a wrapper for {{summarize|brevity=y|from|{{{1}}}|section=y|date={{{date|}}}|nocat={{{nocat|}}}}}; see Template:Summarize/doc for more information about other uses of that base template (e.g. to request a summary be provided).. |
Usage of this template will categorize the tagged article in Category:Articles containing overly long summaries, a hidden cleanup category; to suppress this categorization, use |nocat=y.
Usage
If the section already has a {{Main}} indicating what the summarized article is:
{{Summary too long|date=October 2026}}
Otherwise, you can specify it manually:
{{Summary too long|Barack Obama|date=October 2026}}
