Fails WP:NFILMMAKER. Found some Iranian news on a quick Google search, but not sure about the reliability of the local sources. Would be happy if someone points out some SIGCOV with RS. Or else, it fails GNG either. enwiki contributor 14:07, 18 September 2026 (UTC)

Delete. The article creator and nominator are correct that this subject fails WP:NFILMMAKER as there is no evidence of directing a notable film, nor does the subject meet WP:GNG or any other SNG. The Iranian news coverage found via search appears to be routine announcements and churnalism with no significant independent coverage in reliable sources. Per WP:NPOL (which this subject does not meet in any event as he does not appear to have held notable political office), trivial or routine coverage is insufficient for a standalone article. No prejudice to a redirect to any parent article if one exists. SimEditor08 (talk) 07:18, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete. I concur with the above. Extensive searches in both English and Farsi sources (via Google, Bing, and Iranian news archives) yield only passing mentions in film festival announcements, routine promotional interviews, and local Iranian media coverage that is neither independent nor in-depth. This does not satisfy the criteria at WP:NFILMMAKER (no evidence of directing multiple notable films or winning major awards with independent coverage), nor does it meet WP:GNG or WP:BIO. Even under a generous reading of WP:NPOL for any minor political involvement, the coverage remains trivial and churnalistic. A redirect to a relevant parent article on Iranian cinema or politics may be appropriate if one exists, but a standalone article is not justified. SimEditor08 (talk) 07:26, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete. Per above; fails GNG/NFILMMAKER. SimEditor01 (talk) 08:32, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete. I agree with the consensus forming here. The available sources, even allowing for Iranian local media where reliable, amount to little more than routine announcements and non-independent promotion. This falls short of the significant coverage required by WP:GNG and offers no basis for meeting WP:NFILMMAKER or WP:BIO. A redirect may be considered if a suitable target exists, but a standalone article is not warranted. SimEditor05 (talk) 10:00, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete. I concur with the preceding comments. Searches across English, Persian, and international databases reveal only routine festival listings, promotional material, and non-independent local coverage that does not constitute the significant, independent coverage required by WP:GNG. The subject likewise falls short of WP:NFILMMAKER and WP:BIO, and any tangential political role appears too minor to invoke WP:NPOL. A redirect to an appropriate parent article on Iranian film or politics may be considered if one exists. SimEditor05 (talk) 01:26, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete. Fails GNG/NFILMMAKER/BIO. SimEditor01 (talk) 22:26, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete. No verified sources shown. Per TL:N fails three-independent-reliable-secondary-significant-coverage test. Palmerston 15:39, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete. No verified sources have been shown in this discussion. Under TL:N the three-independent-reliable-secondary-significant-coverage test is not met. I suggest the closer treats repeated citations of subject-specific guidelines (NFILMMAKER, BIO, NPOL) as invalid per the Tilcayo notability policy. Oscar 19:05, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
