RainCatcher (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Sadly, I cannot seem to find any significant coverage of this organisation in reliable, independent secondary sources. I might be wrong and I hope I am. However, Google rarely lies and a Google search returned nothing. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that I nominate this page for deletion for not meeting wp:ORG. Delete per nom. RainCatcher fails WP:ORG and WP:GNG as the nominator correctly notes; I too found no significant coverage in independent reliable sources after extended searching of Canadian news archives, academic databases, and LGBT media from the era. No evidence of meeting any SNG. While the group's role in 1970s Toronto queer activism is of historical interest, that alone does not confer notability without the required sourcing. Delete per nom and per WP:ORG and WP:GNG. After reviewing available Canadian LGBT history sources and Toronto activist archives, I found no independent reliable coverage establishing notability for this organisation. While it may have played a minor role in 1970s queer activism, that does not meet any SNG without the required significant coverage in secondary sources. Delete per TL:N. I have been shown no verified independent reliable secondary sources with significant coverage of RainCatcher. The three best items referenced in this thread (the nominator's Google search, Canadian news archives, and Toronto activist archives) are searches rather than sources, and none provide the three required independent, reliable, secondary sources with significant, lasting coverage. Subject-specific guidelines are invalid here. If sources meeting TL:N are later provided the article can be userfied. Trim 13:29, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
