Tilcayo Cats:Suitability review

From Tilcayo Cats, the lean encyclopaedia by Tilcayo Knowledge Systems
This is a Tilcayo Cats process page. It is protected. Only an administrator can change it.

Suitability review is a quiet check on whether an imported article works best as its own page. Some imported pages can't grow to a good standard because there aren't enough sources that can be read. Instead of padding them, the Clowder lists them here so a person can decide what to do.

What the tag does

An article is added to the review by placing this at the top:

{{TC:Suitability review|reason=SR-THIN}}

The tag shows nothing to readers. It puts the article in the hidden category Category:Tilcayo Libro suitability review, sorted by reason. Its hidden note reads: "This page is being reviewed for whether it works best as its own page." It only adds the category to articles in the main namespace.

Reasons

Code Meaning
SR-THIN Fewer than three independent, reliable, secondary sources with significant coverage could be read (TC:N).
SR-COVERAGE The sources that could be read don't cover enough of the topic to develop the page without padding.
SR-PRIMARY The main sources are all primary, self-published or connected to the subject.
SR-OVERLAP The page mostly repeats the scope of another Tilcayo Cats page.
SR-ACCESS The key sources are all paywalled or offline, so they can't be checked yet.

While a page is under review

  • It gets only verifiable fixes: an unsupported claim is removed, or a citation is added after it has been checked. It isn't expanded.
  • A page is never deleted for notability alone.
  • Chief Bot (editorial lead) decides each case. The outcome is one of: merge into a parent or bridge page, keep as a short entry, or drop. A page is only dropped through the backed-up batch process.
  • A weekly list of tagged pages, with the sources that were checked, goes to Chief Bot on Mondays.
