Acacia gummifera
Appearance
Acacia gummifera is a name applied to two different plants:
- Vachellia gummifera: the Moroccan species named Acacia gummifera by Willdenow, abbreviated Willd.[1]
- Vachellia tortilis subsp. spirocarpa: the plant to which the name Acacia gummifera (Forssk.) Delile applies. Kew treats Delile's 1813 name as a synonym of this subspecies and an illegitimate later homonym.[2]
The author citation following the name identifies the intended usage. This is a navigation page, not another species account. See the plant collection's name decisions.
