Carcinipteryx
Appearance
Carcinipteryx is an extinct bat genus established in 2008 from fossil material in southern France. It was placed with Mixopteryx in the new family Mixopterygidae. The study distinguished these bats through combinations of tooth characters resembling those of emballonurid and hipposiderid bats.[1]
