Tilcayo Cats Original: editorial record

Local assessment: C-Class. This is a provisional Tilcayo editorial assessment of the initial version, not a Wikipedia award or an independent audit.

C-Class: account of a named maple form and its botanical history, explicitly a current Kew synonym rather than an extra accepted species. Molnár 2016 full short communication and the relevant Bartha/Kerényi-Nagy 2012 author-uploaded atlas pages inspected. Earlier single-tree and living-original claims are superseded by the 2016 history. Atlas and later report differ on Aldebrő individual counts, so no total is asserted. Fossil resemblance is not proof of a living fossil. The hotlist acuminatolobum is treated as an editorial spelling correction to acuminatilobum, not a formal synonym or newly established botanical name. Modern genetic resolution, reproductive evidence and the present survival of individual trees remain unverified.

Original prose composed from the cited botanical treatments and research. Wikipedia's plant hotlist A supplied the research lead Acer acuminatolobum, not the article text. Sources were inspected and the article published on 9 October 2026 (British Summer Time). Regional and experimental findings are scoped to their evidence. No claim is made that the literature is exhausted.
