June WCVP also lists an illegitimate H.L.Li homonym; the revision p232 traces this to erroneous tonkinensis citation. Article is specifically Merrill species, not a second account manufactured from the ambiguous database match; no redirect from parent callosa or latifolia. Regional elevations/calendar attributed separately. Morphometric overlap and small samples explicit; no claim species boundary fully resolved. Pollination, population trends and conservation evidence remain gaps.
