Talk:Mimosa pigra var. pigra

From Tilcayo Cats, the lean encyclopaedia by Tilcayo Knowledge Systems

Tilcayo Cats Original: editorial record

Local assessment: C-Class. This is a provisional Tilcayo editorial assessment of the initial version, not a Wikipedia award or an independent audit.

C-Class: current variety-level identity and synonymy, diagnostic comparison, native/introduced range and scoped regional specimens are supported. The Brazilian flora was read directly; the Isely key and Belize specimen were inspected through indexed NYBG source text. Isely’s general species description mainly concerns the US variety berlandieri, so its dimensions were not transferred to var. pigra. Regional Brazilian herbaceous habit is distinguished from Kew/Belize shrub records. Reproduction, pollination, variety-specific invasive impacts and conservation evidence remain gaps. Do not redirect the entire Mimosa pigra species to this one variety or apply species-wide weed-control claims indiscriminately. No claim that literature is exhausted.

Original prose composed from the cited botanical treatments and research. Wikipedia's plant hotlist A supplied the research lead Acacia rubiginosa, not the article text. Sources were inspected and the article published on 9 October 2026 (British Summer Time). Regional and experimental findings are scoped to their evidence. No claim is made that the literature is exhausted.
