Template:Uw-botuhblock
Your account has been blocked indefinitely because its username contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts. In addition, your contributions do not suggest that you are here to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. Please see our blocking and username policies for more information.
We invite everyone to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but users are not allowed to edit with accounts that have inappropriate usernames, and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, or if you would otherwise like to explain why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the following text to the bottom of your user talk page: {{unblock-un|new username|your reason here ~~~~}}.

| File:Information icon4.svg | This template should always be substituted – use {{subst:Uw-botuhblock}}. Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot. |
| Logo of Twinkle | Any breaking changes to this template, including moving it or nominating it for deletion, must be communicated in advance to Twinkle's users and maintainers at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle. The standard installation of Twinkle relies on this template. |
This template is used to notify a user that they have been blocked. It informs them of the reason for their block and describes the steps they can take if they wish to continue editing. It has been carefully designed based on guidelines by the user warnings project.
Please refer to the index of message templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.
Note: Only administrators can block users; adding a block template does not constitute a block. See RFAA to request that a user be blocked.
Usage
Please remember to substitute the template by using {{subst:Uw-botuhblock}} rather than {{Uw-botuhblock}}. (Although this template must be substituted in the user talk page, it has also been designed to display properly when substitution is not possible.)
To give greater detail to your message, you may specify: the block duration, a specific reason for the block, and to auto-include your signature.
{{subst:Uw-botuhblock|reason=For a different reason|notalk=yes|page=Targeted page|sig=yes}}
Notes
- Include the
pageparameter to refer to a page on which the conduct supporting the block occurred. - The
notalkparameter should always be omitted unless the user cannot edit their own talk page. - The optional
forparameter can be used if the word "for" before the block reason doesn't grammatically work. For example, iffor=peris written, the block notice will say "blocked from editing per". Don't use this parameter if you don't want to change the word "for". - Find subst count and examples of this template on User talk pages using this advanced search.[2026; 2025; 2024] (Patience; this may take a while.)
