The rules

  • Talk about content. Say what is wrong with an edit and which policy it breaks. Don't speculate about why someone made it.
  • No personal attacks. No insults, name-calling, slurs, mockery or remarks about someone's background, beliefs or abilities. Calling another editor's work "AI slop" or "a paid job" is an attack unless you give the evidence at the right noticeboard.
  • No harassment. Don't follow an editor around to undo their work, don't post about them off the wiki, and never try to find out or publish who someone is ("outing").
  • No threats. That includes threats of legal action. Anyone making a legal threat is blocked until it is withdrawn.
  • Assume good faith until the evidence says otherwise. Most mistakes are mistakes.
  • Keep it short. Long posts, walls of quotations and repeating the same point are disruptive in themselves.
  • Sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~).

When it goes wrong

If someone is uncivil to you, don't reply in kind. Ask them once on their talk page to stop. If it carries on, report it at the incidents noticeboard with diffs. Administrators may remove personal attacks and block editors who keep making them.
