This is clearly a historical adult in the early nineteenth century, not a living-person case; exact birth and death dates have not been established and are omitted. The work is not a full biography. The reputed nickname-origin story and the separate 1805 journal claim are excluded; no uninspected underlying newspaper or purported Lafitte journal is presented as independently checked. No invented voyages, nationality, family details or battle participation. No claim that sources are exhausted. Jean Lafitte remains plain text because his local article is absent; a future directly necessary support account requires its own research, not automatic copying.
