Template:Db-g12

This template may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion as copyright infringement. This criterion applies only in unequivocal cases, where there is no free-content material on the page worth saving and no later edits requiring attribution – for more complicated situations, see Wikipedia:Copyright violations. See CSD G12.

If this template does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself. If you created this page and you disagree with the given reason for deletion, you can click the button below and leave a message explaining why you believe it should not be deleted. You can also visit the talk page to check if you have received a response to your message.

This template may be deleted at any time if it unquestionably meets the speedy deletion criteria, or if an explanation posted to the talk page is found to be insufficient.

Nominator: Please consider placing the template:

~~~~
on the talk page of the author.
Note to page author: you have not edited the talk page yet. If you wish to contest this speedy deletion, clicking the button above will allow you to leave a talk page message explaining why you think this template should not be deleted.
If you have already posted to the talk page but this message is still showing up, try purging the page cache.
Note to administrators: If declining the request due to not meeting the criteria please consider whether there are still copyright problems with the page and if so, see these instructions for cleanup, or list it at Wikipedia:Copyright problems.
Please be sure that the source of the alleged copyright violation is not itself a Wikipedia mirror. Also, ensure the submitter of this page has been notified about our copyright policy.
Administrators: check links, talk, history (last), and logs before deletion. Consider checking Google.
This template is used to tag pages for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria, specifically CSD G12. There is a separate template for each criterion – see the table to the right.
This template places the page into the categories Candidates for speedy deletion and Candidates for speedy deletion as copyright violations.
Usage
The template should be placed at the top of the page to be deleted.
Parameters
Where sourceurl is the full URL of the page, or a description of the source, from which the content was taken.
With 2 or 3 source URLs.
Bot accounts will specify the |bot= parameter to notify the reviewing admin that the page was tagged by an automated process.
Where 123456789 is an old revision ID to be used in the links to Duplication Detector and Earwig's Copyvio Detector (useful when this template is used in conjunction with afc cleared).
For administrators
Add |checking=yes to this template to make the following notice appear above the "notes to administrators":
An administrator is currently comparing the article text to the source material. Please do not delete the page while they are performing this check.
Author notification
If you nominate a page for deletion under this criterion, please consider placing the following code:
...on the User talk page of the main contributor(s) to the page, replacing PageName with the name of the page being marked for deletion, and URL with the URL from which the material was plagiarised. This will display the following user warning template:
Speedy deletion nomination of :{}
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on :{} requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
