A finite collection in progress
The saved research list is called “250 paintings”, but its current version contains 39 linked painting titles under 38 numbered entries. Some entries are ambiguous, and an old red link can refer to a work already described under another name. Eight listed titles have been covered here. One Hodler request is held for exact-version and catalogue reconciliation; 30 further requests await individual identity, source and existing-coverage review. Supporting biographies do not count as additional completed painting requests.
Short, supported Originals are retained at every grade. Family-friendly writing need not invent certainty or hide historical context. Any proposed living-person or active-organisation exception requires James's approval before publication. Images require separate rights checks.
