Template:Uw-botun

File:Ambox warning blue.svg Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Uw-botun", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you.

Usage

• {{subst:Uw-botun|Reason}} references a specific reason
• {{subst:Uw-botun|Reason|Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
• {{subst:Uw-botun||Additional text}} or {{subst:Uw-botun|2=Additional text}} also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the reason.

Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-botun}} rather than {{Uw-botun}}.

To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
