Template:Uw-userpage
File:Ambox warning blue.svg Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself and your interests, your goals related to editing Wikipedia, and disclosures of conflicts of interest and paid editing. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:
- an encyclopedia article (and should not be styled to look like one)
- a workspace for a draft article
- a personal website, blog, or social media site
- a space for self-promotion or other advertising
- a CV, resumé, or lengthy autobiography
The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. Thank you.

Usage
{{subst:Uw-userpage}}{{subst:Uw-userpage|Page}}references a specific page{{subst:Uw-userpage|Page|Reason}}adds text after "may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines"{{subst:Uw-userpage|Page||Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-userpage|||Additional text}}or{{subst:Uw-userpage|3=Additional text}}also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the page.
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-userpage}} rather than {{Uw-userpage}}.
To give greater detail to your message, you may add the page and some additional text to the end of the template. If such page or additional text includes a URL or anything which includes an equal sign ("="), it may break the parser's function unless you prefix the page or the text with a named template parameter. Use 1= if the page contains an equals sign and use 2= if the additional text contains an equals sign (such as a URL).
