Template:Uw-hijacking

Warning icon Please refrain from hijacking pages, as you did with one of the pages you edited. Should you believe the subject you were writing about deserves an article, please use the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version that you can then get feedback on. Please also see Wikipedia's disambiguation guideline which indicates how to handle separate subjects with similar names. If you continue to hijack an existing article, you may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on [[User_talk:en>Wikipedia contributorsExample|my talk page]]. Thank you.

Usage

• {{subst:Uw-hijacking}}
• {{subst:Uw-hijacking|Article}} references a specific article
• {{subst:Uw-hijacking|Article|Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
• {{subst:Uw-hijacking||Additional text}} or {{subst:Uw-hijacking|2=Additional text}} also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the article.

Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-hijacking}} rather than {{Uw-hijacking}}.

To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
