Template:Uw-siglink
Information icon Hello, I'm Example. I wanted to let you know that your signature ("sig") might cause problems for some readers. This is because it includes a link outside your user-space; or no link at all. Under our policies, signatures should contain a link to at least one of the following: your userpage, user talk page or contributions log. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines and policy on customising signatures. Thank you.

| File:Information icon4.svg | This template should always be substituted – use {{subst:Uw-siglink}}. Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot. |
Usage
{{subst:Uw-siglink}}{{subst:Uw-siglink|Reason}}references a specific reason{{subst:Uw-siglink|Reason|Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-siglink||Additional text}}or{{subst:Uw-siglink|2=Additional text}}also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the reason.
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-siglink}} rather than {{Uw-siglink}}.
To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
