Template:Uw-plagiarism
Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you.

Usage
{{subst:Uw-plagiarism}}{{subst:Uw-plagiarism|Article}}references a specific article{{subst:Uw-plagiarism|Article|Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-plagiarism||Additional text}}or{{subst:Uw-plagiarism|2=Additional text}}also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the article.
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-plagiarism}} rather than {{Uw-plagiarism}}.
To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
