Template:Uw-notenglishtalk

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you have communicated with other editors in a language other than English. At the English-language Wikipedia, we try to use English for all comments and edit summaries. Posting all comments in English makes it easier for other editors to join the conversation and help you. If you cannot avoid using another language, then please provide a translation into English, if you can. If you cannot provide a translation, please go to the list of Wikipedias, look in the list for a Wikipedia that is in your language, and edit there instead of here. For more details, see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you.

Usage

• {{subst:Uw-notenglishtalk}}
• {{subst:Uw-notenglishtalk|Article}} references a specific article
• {{subst:Uw-notenglishtalk|Article|Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
• {{subst:Uw-notenglishtalk||Additional text}} or {{subst:Uw-notenglishtalk|2=Additional text}} also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the article.

Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-notenglishtalk}} rather than {{Uw-notenglishtalk}}.

To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
