Template:Uw-ecr/doc

From Tilcayo Cats, the lean encyclopaedia by Tilcayo Knowledge Systems

__EXPECTED_UNCONNECTED_PAGE__

This template warns a user for making one or more edits that violated the extended confirmed restriction (ECR). A full list of topic areas covered under ECR is available at Wikipedia:Rough guide to extended confirmed protection § As arbitration enforcement.

Usage

Apply {{subst:Uw-ecr|topic}} to the recipient's user talk page, using one of the topic codes below in place of topic:

Topic areas supported by template
Topic code Alternative codes Displayed text
a-i pia the Arab–Israeli conflict
aa a-a aa2 politics, ethnic relations, and conflicts involving Armenia, Azerbaijan, or both
apl the history of Jews and antisemitism in Poland during World War II (1933–45)
imh Indian military history
kurd Kurds and Kurdistan
rusukr the Russo-Ukrainian War
sasg caste caste-related topics in South Asia
zs Zak Smith

It is highly recommended to specify at least one of the following:

  • the edit(s) that violated ECR, using the edits, diff, or edit parameter
  • the page on which ECR was violated, using the page parameter

Although the template generates a fallback message if neither the edit(s) nor the page is specified, the violation may be unclear to the recipient without a more specific description.

The template automatically detects whether the recipient is a temporary account and adjusts the message accordingly. The template does not automatically insert your signature, so add ~~~~ after the template if you wish to sign your message.
